Application Process for PVC Aadhaar Card

Applying for a PVC Aadhaar Card is quick and can be done online through the UIDAI website (myAadhaar) or the mAadhaar app. Follow these steps:

• Visit the Portal/App: Go to myaadhaar.uidai.gov.in or open the mAadhaar app on your phone, and login with your aadhaar number and OTP.
• Navigate to the “My Aadhaar” section and select “Order Aadhaar PVC Card“.

• Enter one of the accepted identification numbers:
  • 12-digit Aadhaar Number: The standard unique identification number
  • 16-digit Virtual ID: A temporary, privacy-focused alternative
  • 28-digit Enrollment ID: Used when Aadhaar processing is incomplete
• Next, fill in the captcha code.
• If your mobile number is not registered, check the option “My mobile number is not registered” and enter an alternate number.

• Click “Send OTP” to receive a one-time password on your registered or alternate mobile number. Enter the OTP (valid for 10 minutes) and accept the terms and conditions.
• For registered mobile numbers, a preview of Aadhaar details (name, DOB, gender, photo, address) will be shown for confirmation. For unregistered numbers, no preview will be displayed. Cross- check the details and move forward towards the payment option.
• Pay ₹50 (inclusive of GST & speed post charges) via debit/credit card, net banking, UPI, or wallet. Once the payment is successful, download the receipt. It will include a 28-digit Service Request Number (SRN) for tracking.

• Order Confirmation : You will also receive an SMS with the SRN to help track your PVC Aadhaar delivery status.

Track PVC Aadhaar Order Status

To check the progress of your PVC Aadhaar Card request:

• Visit myaadhaar.uidai.gov.in and go to the “My Aadhaar” section, and click on “Check Aadhaar PVC Card Status.”

• Provide:
  • The 28-digit Service Request Number (SRN) from your payment slip.
  • The captcha code.

• Click Submit to view the latest status, such as “Order Processed,” “Handed Over to DoP,” or “Delivered.”

You can also download the acknowledgement slip if needed. Alternatively, the DoP tracking service can be used with your SRN for real-time delivery updates.

Delivery Timeline

After an order is placed, UIDAI dispatches the PVC Aadhaar Card to the Department of Post (DoP) within 5 working days (excluding the day of request). The delivery usually takes around 5–15 working days through Speed Post, and the card is sent to the address recorded in your Aadhaar.

If your address has changed, it must be updated beforehand via the Self-Service Update Portal (SSUP) or at a Permanent Enrollment Center to avoid delivery issues.
